Miss Britain Kitten Bio

So ironically, Britain Kitten was spawned in America!  I was born in California but was drawn to England to study illustration and escape the American life. ( I am not going to lie, Robert Smith from the band The Cure might have had a small influence on the foreign country I chose to pursue my education in.) So Britain moved to Britain. Destiny or prophecy?  Whatever it is, I know I never want to leave England, it is truly my destiny and where I belong. How can you not love a place where you can visit castles anytime??? I am talking about real castles??? It is the most romantic thing ever!

I loved how in London I could also be accepted and appreciated for all my weirdness and eccentric tendencies. I could be all the me I wanted to be with a freedom I never felt in America. Part of my key philosophies I teach in my therapy is the power of being your true and authentic self. London made that almost effortless for me.

My experience since moving to London is varied and diverse.  London offers so many pies to taste and I have tasted well! All of my experiences feed back into what I am creating and doing now. In the nearly 20 years I have lived in London I have been:

-A freelance illustrator for 15 years, with exhibitions, commissions, magazine features, advertising, etc.

-A milliner: I ran a millinery business creating vintage-inspired hats called ‘Kitty Minx’  that was featured in Vogue Magazine

– A costume designer

– Alternative fashion Model

-Ran an alternative nightclub in SoHo London for 2 years

-Trustee and leader of a charity, ‘Asylum’ that supported the London alternative scene for 10 years

-Became the leading specialist of animal phobias in the UK with several TV appearances and media coverage with my business Creature Courage

-Started my own online coaching programme and now an upcoming author

Currently, as well as being an illustrator and writer, I am the UK’s leading arachnophobia and animal phobia therapist running the successful animal phobia business called Creature Courage.

We use a huge variety of the most advanced phobia fighting techniques including NLP, hypnotherapy, CBT, art therapy, education, imagination exercises, and immersive therapy. The therapy workshops I have designed have cured even the most extreme phobic’s in just one day with life-changing therapy, people who can’t even look at a picture of the animal they are afraid of are able to interact with them by the end of our workshop!  I have hundreds of happy testimonials to prove these incredible results.

With my work in Creature Courage, I have worked with celebrities like James Jordon from Strictly Come Dancing, been featured on Good Morning Britain, BBC Radio 2, Sky News, The Daily Mail and several other newspaper publications.  I have also worked with Merlin Entertainment at Chessington World of Adventures.

I run this business under my alter ego ‘Britain Stelly’ however, Britain Kitten is my actual legal name! It is also my true self who I am now more fully embracing as a unique and alternative therapist.
